I have a song in my spirit and before I get started I just wanted to share the words with you.
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be the name of the Lord most high
Amen that was just in my spirit
A Heavenly Inheritance 1 Peter 1:1-7
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
This passage was in my heart today because I have truly been going through some things. I am trying to go through then with joy because it seems for every blessing and for every right thing that happens here comes a ton of trials. God's has a plan and in everything He does or allows to happen He is trying to work out something in us. God is trying to make us His best, He is trying to make us all that we can be for His plans and purposes.
You know sometimes as "people" we say things like I am only human, how much more can I take. In that same breath we say I know God is not going to put more on me than I can bear. So why is it that when we go through we question it and we question God. God's word said we should be tried as gold in the fire. Don't get me wrong God values us a whole lot more than Gold but we have to think about Gold itself. Gold is the only metal that is pliable, it is the only metal that can be bent molded and shaped. Gold is the softest medal there is. Gold is just like what God wants our hearts to be like,
Now think about how God wants to mold and shape us. His word says in Isaiah 64:8
But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand. God shapes and molds us into who He would have us to be. Another amazing thing about gold is it's atomic number is 79. Though 79 does not have a true Biblical meaning the numbers 7 and 9 does.
I am going to show you this the way God showed it to me. The number 7 is the number of completion for man. The Number 9 approval, entire and solid. The number is the symbol that is used in reference to the (cube). This number is also used when describing the Trinity or the Godhead (divine perfection). This number has also been associated with spirit and life. Divine perfection is perfection in God. By our trials we are being tested as pure gold 7 and 9 to be made complete as men and ultimately being made divinely perfect in God. No being tested is not easy but just try and think about the end result.
I leave you with this the NLT translation I thought it was beautiful and I pray it blesses you as it has blessed me. I pray it bring clearer understanding of why you are being tested, and the promise God has for you if you remain faithful to Him.
1 Peter 1:3-7 (New Living Translation)
The Hope of Eternal Life
3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, 4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.
6 So be truly glad.[b] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
